Dear Supporters,
Tahlequah has let go of her dead calf. She appears to be okay. We hope that her public display of mourning will prompt decision makers to expand their awareness of the dire need to restore the balance in the ecosystem of the Pacific Northwest. Sacrifice in decision making is needed; the status quo of working for private interests is no longer sustainable. Big decisions, big changes must be made immediately.
If you are able, please attend the next Orca Task Force meeting, August 28 in Anacortes, Washington. This petition will be delivered, hopefully in printed form, to the members of the Task "Force" board. We must keep the pressure on.
As Tahlequah's calf sank, to join in nourishing the ocean floor, we too must take this sinking feeling in us and nourish others with a voice of action.
In gratitude....
