For many years Lake Mills has been a favorite place for families and friends to gather for baby showers, birthdays, picnics, camping, and most of all swimming. Over the past few weeks Seminole county has put up signs that say no swimming and built a wall so we cannot access the water. When i called to ask about it they said that it wasn't bacteria or wildlife but instead it's because of people who live on the lake boat there and they don't want people who are swimming to get hurt. Now Im not sure about you all but I, nor anyone i know who has been going there for over 30+ years has heard or seen anyone at Lake Mills get hurt by a boating mishap. Another point to be made is if the people who live on the lake have access to swim why can't we? So those in favor of re-opening Lake Mills to swimming say "I" and sign this petition!!
