The Puyo Puyo series of puzzle games is not only popular because of its addictive, skill-based gameplay. As the high interest in import purchases of the recently released Puyo Puyo Artwork Collection proves, a sizable, dedicated fanbase also exists for the extremely lovable characters and the surprisingly fascinating world the games' story-modes are set in. 

For years, many fans capable of reading the Japanese language have considered the Puyo Puyo branded novels released under the Kadokawa Tsubasa Bunko label a highlight of the series, especially in terms of world-building and character-exploration. The books frequently explore ideas and character traits that often sadly fall by the wayside in the games themselves due to format limitations. We want more of those books, and we want them readily available for purchase by western, English-speaking fans! 

The recent Puyo Puyo Tetris 2's amazing story mode left us hungry for more world building! Give it to us! Allow that games' writer to write yet more stories with these characters!
For years, the English fanbase has had to rely on only word of mouth to learn more about the characters they love. Let's change that!  Translate and make the novel series (previous and future installments) commercially available to the western fanbase!

As an active member of the English-speaking Puyo fan-community, I have no doubt that more novels and, of course, English-translated novels would lead to nothing but financial gain for the Sega Cooperation! Availability of the novels would increase people's awareness of the characters, leading them to purchase more of the games (which would make rerelease and localization of previously unfocalized games more viable as well!), leading them to get even more interested in the novels, leading to more purchases of the games and novels, etc. etc.
In short: Releasing more novels and official English translations would be a win-win situation for everyone involved. The scenario writer of Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary, Puyo Puyo Tetris 1&2, the Drama CDs and novels, too, has recently expressed that she still has ideas for more novels. So, let's see those ideas! Let's show them to everyone, not just the Japanese fanbase!

We, the fans of the characters and world of the Puyo Puyo games are waiting with bated breath for Sega to allow us to buy yet more materials featuring the every day lives, trials and tribulations of our beloved characters!
