Seek Justice for Hero Mohamed Wada, Murdered Sudanese LPU Student
The Issue
The LPU community is in mourning following the brutal murder of Mohamed Wada, a bright and courageous Sudanese student who tragically lost his life while selflessly protecting fellow students, including female students who also belonged to Sudan. This horrific act, where Mohamed stood up against six assailants, reportedly from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, near the Law Gate, has not only robbed us of a promising young life but has also raised serious concerns about the safety and security of international students in India.
Mohamed's bravery underscores the urgent need for enhanced law enforcement and student protection within our country. This incident serves as stark evidence that our youth, particularly those who have come from abroad to pursue their academic aspirations, are vulnerable.
Therefore, we demand immediate and unwavering justice for our fallen hero, Mohamed Wada. We insist that the perpetrators face the full force of the legal system, with no leniency. Furthermore, we urge the authorities to thoroughly check the past history of the accused and ensure that these murderers are denied bail under any circumstances. Allowing them to go unpunished would not only be a grave injustice to Mohamed but would also create an environment where such heinous crimes could be repeated. Today it was Mohamed; tomorrow, it could be any of us.
We call upon everyone to sign this petition to secure enduring accountability, uncompromised justice for Mohamed, and to demand that no bail is granted to his attackers. Let us unite to fight for Mohamed and for every student's fundamental right to safety and justice in India.
