This petition rises from a personal concern for the thousands of hardworking immigrants that have made Amazon the powerhouse it is today. My appeal, rooted in the American principles of fairness, equality, and the dream of financial independence, urges Mr. Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, to take adequate measures which will ensure that these immigrant workers can continue contributing, unequivocally, to the success of Amazon, and to the prosperity of their families. The immigrants we speak of currently risk losing their jobs and being uprooted from their lives due to the impermanence of their work status. We believe that Amazon, being a key component of their American dream, could also be a vital force in safeguarding it. It is reported that around a quarter of the U.S. labor force is made up of foreign-born workers and this includes those who work for major corporations like Amazon, showing the prominent role immigrants play in keeping our industries thriving. In light of the hard work, the commitment, and the contribution of these employees to not just the success of Amazon, but to America's robust economy as a whole, we call on Mr. Bezos to uphold their right to work and pursue financial independence. We plead with him to consider their circumstances and provide the necessary assistance in obtaining work permit extensions or permanent status. Our aim is not just to secure the livelihoods of these individuals, but also to reinforce the time-honored American values of diversity, inclusivity, opportunity, and the pursuit of financial independence.
