The Children’s Education and Health Care Protection needs your Support

The Issue

Replacing proposition 30 is The Children’s Education and Health Care Protection initiative measure. If this initiative gathers enough signatures ( approx 585,000) and California registered voters adopt it Nov 8th, this measure will raise approximately $8 billion to $11 billion in tax revenue to allocate to k-14 schools . If passed it will extended education funding and healthcare from 2019-2030, another dozen years. “The aim is to sustain education and healthcare funding given the state’s crowded classrooms and its near-bottom ranking of Medicaid spending “stated The Sacramento Bee.

Had Prop 30 in 2012 not passed California schools, and other valuable programs would have face a financial economic fall. Now, that schools are beginning to get back on track that onus is on the registered voter to get our and vote on Nov 8th. Let's band together and gather signatures to get this initiative measure in front of voters this election year and not repeat the cyclical massive cuts that took place a few years back in California (think 2007/2008)

This initiative measure is based on taxing the highest 2% income earners in California. This means that anyone in California who earns over one quarter million dollars will help pay for funding school and health care to low-income children and their families.

Taxing the highest income earners in California provides essential funding to our elementary schools, community colleges and other vital social services.  This initiative that I am asking you to review and sign, expires this year 2016. Your signature and vote matter. This measure if passed will  allocate 89% of the funds to K-12 and 11% to California Community Colleges. It is estimated that if this passes there will be an annual increase of $5 to $11 billion dollars depending on the stock market and economic trends.

I urge you to sign this initiative and STOP the massive cuts and economic fall that affected our children's school funding/history. Direct democracy in progress: Let's adopt the measure but before this assure with our signatures that this measure gets in front of voters this election year.  We won't repeat history or live to see teacher and staff layoffs, and huge budget holes for our health care programs with this adoption.  Get your friend, family, coworkers, and acquaintances to sign. Sign, please!

Help me minimize the gap of 585,000 signatures that are required to put this initiative measure on the ballot for November 8, 2016.
