Secure East Little Rock DIY skate zone

Secure East Little Rock DIY skate zone
The Issue
The Mission is to secure zoning for the Skate DIY Park in East Little Rock. Skateboarders of central Arkansas have currently cleaned up, taken care of, and utilized an old abandoned tennis court as a safe place for the community to gather and skate. We are currently building a case study in support of officially zoning this property a skate park in the eyes of the city. This is important for sustainability of the skatepark and the community it serves. If you are not a skateboarder and do not understand what a skate DIY park is, it could be similarly related to a community garden. A space where skateboarders come together to build and grow a safe space to skateboard. It’s through the act of growing, building, and expanding where a community is built. Community involvement is the core value underlying the forever evolving project of the East Little Rock Skate DIY Park.
