Mr. Sharp is a music teacher in our community who consistently goes above and beyond his duty to provide a rich and stimulating learning experience for his students. For those of us in Mullumbimby High School, he isn't just a teacher; he is a vital part of our community culture. He isn't just teaching notes and scales; he equips students with vital life skills, such as discipline, teamwork, and the courage to perform publicly. Regrettably, despite his dedicated service, Mr. Sharp only holds a temporary position at our school. 

In Australia, music education has been shown to stimulate students' cognitive abilities, increase school attendance, and promote scholastic engagement (source: Australia Council for the Arts). 

Mr. Sharp embodies all of these benefits. Our school should value and protect such a dedicated educator's contribution, rather than leaving his status uncertain. We must stand together to secure his permanent position and continue enriching the lives of the students at Mullumbimby High in both unique and musical ways.
