Exclusive: The Secretary of State for Work and pensions is now facing a legal battle over his refusal to agree to mediation over #50sWomen compensation for lost pensions
A new blog by Investigative Journalist David Hencke has just been published on his Westminster Confidential website which will be music to the ears of #50sWomen who are totally frustrated by the absolute intransigence of Govt over the injustice done to them.
“There are grounds to seek permission to launch a full Judicial Review based on an UNREASONABLE refusal to mediate and they are to be pursued on behalf of ALL 1950’s Women"
David Hencke has also recently reported on the leaked reports from the Parliamentary Ombudsman, which suggests that after 7 long years the issue of injustice to 1950s women will be passed back to Parliament to remedy, without any recommendations on compensation for maladministration being made.

But maladministration is only part of the story of injustice. The enforceable rights of 50sWomen not to be subjected to discrimination on the grounds of age and sex have been breached.
Hon Dr Jocelynne Scutt commented:
"Those rights have been breached by the failures and actions of the Department of Works and Pensions in the way they failed to notify, and in the way they went ahead to apply the legislation albeit they had failed to notify and therefore the 50s women had no notice of the need to reorganise their retirement plans or their paid work arrangements"
Having raised enough cash to prepare the legal strategy, the crowdfunder is now raising funds to fight the case in the courts.
50sWomen, their families and supporters are urged to contribute in order to finally achieve the justice they deserve.
