Speak Up Ballard
17 de jul. de 2015
That's the sound of hundreds of frustrated Ballardites calling Mayor Murray's office to demand the City hold an open, public process about proposed homeless encampments. Join us! Take one minute right now or this weekend to dial 206.684.4000 and leave a message for Mayor Murray. Keep it short. Keep in simple. Be direct. It's painless (and even fun). Here's how: 1. State your name and the neighborhood where you live. 2. Tell Mayor Murray how you feel about the lack of a meaningful, transparent, public process. Yesterday, the City delivered a symbolic slap in the face to Ballard when it removed a valuable tree at the Market Street site before giving neighbors a chance to even have a say about locating a homeless encampment there. If you are still steaming about that, then pick up the phone and call. Then find a neighbor or two and have them join with us on this petition. We are nearing 1,000 signatures. Each one helps us make our case!
