Speak Up Ballard
Jul 16, 2015
Sorry for a second email today, but we are fuming. Cutting down the tree at the proposed homeless encampment site on Market Street before any meaningful public engagement takes place is simply outrageous. Time for all of us to call the Mayor's office directly. Tonight or this weekend, take just one minute out of your day to dial 206.684.4000 and leave a message for Mayor Murray. Join hundreds of your neighbors in telling him that Ballard deserves a real public and transparent process. Keep it short. Keep in simple. Be direct. Here's how: 1. State your name and the neighborhood where you live. 2. Tell Mayor Murray how you feel about the lack of a meaningful, transparent, public process. 3. Request that he work with the neighborhood to understand and address concerns about the proposed locations. One minute of your time will make a big impact. Let's light up those phones lines and give City Hall an earful.
