Because of the heavy snowfall and icy sidewalks, we believe there should be a snow day on Tuesday, February 12th. The snow is a hassal for students and parents who are driving out of their driveways. Black ice is a danger to the ones driving, taking transit, or walking. The temperature is too cold outside for students walking to school or to transit. It would be everyone’s benefit for the district (SD43) to have a snow day and cancel school. Students have slipped on school property in the past, getting concussions because of the difficult conditions.
