As residents of Prince Edward County and the Quinte region who want to have access to recent and culturally diverse films, we want to encourage the Regent Theatre to screen narratives which highlight the joys and struggles of the Palestinian people, such as:

• The Voice of Hind Rajab
• All That's Left of You
• Palestine 36
• The Teacher

Whereas the Canadian landscape has not given sufficient and just attention to the stories emerging from the Palestinian people, we would like to have access to these real life stories in our own community, on the big screen. (There is even a local connection to Watermelon Pictures, the distribution label for many of these films.)

We are committed to this endeavour and will help make sure films highlighting Palestinian narratives are successful in PEC.
