We made a difference together once… will you stand with our hospices?

Dear Supporter,
Thank you once again for supporting our campaign to scrap VAT on domestic energy bills.
More than 45,000 people, together with MPs from across the political spectrum, added their names to that petition.
Whilst the Government didn't adopt the full proposal we campaigned for, it did announce the temporary removal of VAT on domestic electricity bills. It wasn't everything we had hoped for, but it demonstrated something important.
When enough people speak with one voice, Governments do listen.
Today, I'm writing to ask for your support once again—this time for something even more important.
Across the country, hospices are warning that the current funding model is no longer sustainable. Patients, families and staff are already feeling the consequences.
In just 11 days, more than 47,000 people have already signed a new national petition calling on the Prime Minister to make sustainable hospice funding a national priority, with over 16,000 people also choosing to share it with others.
Perhaps most moving of all, more than 100 patients, bereaved families and carers have publicly shared their own experiences.
People like Anna, whose partner died on a busy hospital ward after their local hospice had closed all its inpatient beds.
Holly, whose father couldn't access a hospice bed and believes specialist hospice care would have made a significant difference during his final days.
And Maria, whose 39-year-old daughter spent her final weeks in a hospice.
"None of this could have been done in a hospital bed or at home. She passed with dignity."
Their stories remind us what is really at stake.
They are also why nearly 300 Parliamentarians, from across both Houses and every major political party, have already lent their support to the wider campaign.
If you believe every family deserves access to compassionate, specialist end-of-life care, I'd be incredibly grateful if you would take a moment to read the petition and, if it reflects your own views, consider adding your name.

If you've already signed, thank you.
The single biggest difference you can now make is to share the petition with just one other person. Every signature helps amplify the voices of families who have had the courage to share their experiences in the hope that others might be spared the same heartbreak.
Thank you once again for everything you've already done.
Kindest regards,
Corin Dalby
