I hope your Summer has so far been lovely!

I’ve been busy giving presentations to Seniors groups, clubs and organizations. My idea to scrap the CSIL program and replace it with direct billing has been well received as a good idea and for this I am pleased.

I’ve listened to tens of seniors now, enough to know that direct billing will be well embraced. Many of the persons I’ve spoken with like not only the idea of direct billing, but also that IHA home care workers will have less clients to assist on a day-to-day basis because of the amount of Seniors and physically disabled persons switching from IHA home care to private, LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED home care companies.

The client load of every IHA worker will be lessened, and they will have the time they need to fully assist each person. The benefits of direct billing don’t stop there. Switching from IHA to a private home care company of their own choosing will allow local home care companies to prosper…they will be hiring more home care workers and that is fantastic for an already stressed out Home Care System.
