I want (and rightly deserve) MONTHLY FREE PROMOTIONS TO LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD!

Ro---- Ash----- (Mr Easter!)Kingston-upon-Thames, United Kingdom
Oct 4, 2026

ITS NOT FAIR and its NOT a level playing field, users with external social media accounts can easily get thousands of signatures (and international signatures) for free without having to spend a single penny, whereas users like myself have to constantly buy promotional ads just to get my petitions seen!

Due to a severe lack of funds after chipping £25 just to get one of my struggling campaigns to the 300-signature mark after being completely stuck at 259 after extremely rare organic traction died out and my joke petition to the 200-signature mark, I have almost £0 in my regular Nationwide bank account. I therefore will have to lock down my entire network of campaigns (including my main “Earliest Easter campaign” and a brand new campaign demanding British Airways operate 30-minute flights from Heathrow to Cardiff until Thursday 8th October).

To level the playing field, I am DEMANDING that the platform reward users with a monthly “Free Promotion” on any campaign under any scope if a milestone of at least 100 signatures is achieved within a 28-day period (i.e. if you start out the 1st of a month on a random campaign at 234 signatures and your campaign grows to 334 using paid ads).

My proposed “Free Promotion” however, to be fair on all users, will expire and become invalid if not used within 7 days of the reward being given to creators upon reaching the “100+ new signatures” milestone to prevent users abusing the system.

I will now reveal that I have spend NEARLY £3,000 in paid ads on the platform just to get my earliest Easter date campaign to 541 signatures, quite simply because I don’t have any external social media accounts besides my change.org profile.

I am accusing change.org of hypocrisy, because the three-email-per-week limit is designed to prevent spam, yet if a user attempts to log into their change.org account multiple times per day, their inbox is flooded with verification code emails, exactly what the anti-spam filters are trying to prevent!

My lack of social media pages is precisely why I need to post regular campaign updates to my supporters and to prove just how ill-equipped and discriminatory the platform really is against users without an X (Twitter), Facebook or Instagram page to blast their links, I am going back to my hypothetical example of an unemployed individual running an anti-unemployment campaign on change.org, yet because they don’t earn any money, there is no way they can promote their cause because they can’t afford it!

I know I have launched this ‘protest petition’ against the very host site this petition lives on, but it is actually a multi-cause platform improvement campaign that is designed to benefit new users in generations to come and the only way the site can change for the better is by creating this ‘protest petition’, pointing out all the platform’s current design flaws.

After briefly reopening but not gaining any new signatures, we will properly reopen on Thursday 8th October and I hope to celebrate “200 day” very soon when I have the money!

My only social media account is my change.org account itself!
