Thank you to everyone who signed my petition nearly a whole year ago.  Time has flown by  and I thought I really owe you an update.  It DID make the local paper soon after (what you would call a gutter rag/advertising paper) - the Nottingham Evening Post

They did not like it at Newstead Abbey either when I had the audacity to pay for some Lord Byron postcards with some pennies.  But hey, cash is legal tender.  For the time being anyway

I am writing this now because my own mother went to Wollaton Hall the other day and they wouldn't accept her cash in payment for a coffee.  It was her friend's birthday so she did not want to make a scene so didn't challenge it.  I am however after them now.  So watch out Nottingham city council.  You are bullies and I have seen how bullies operate.  It is all about POWER and CONTROL that you want to exert over people.
