Hi All
As promised we have been trying to capture video of the new wildcat in a new area. It's not making it easy for us to get a good look but it's getting exciting and we are seeing more and more detail. Great leg stripes, great body stripes and a clearly ringed and blunt tail. Head and nape markings also look promising but we need a better view and have reset the cameras. We are really excited because where you find one wildcat there are normally others so we are really hopeful that we are on the verge of finding a new population which would be a massive boost to save the magnificent wildcat in the wild where it belongs. This also looks like a relatively young cat so hopefully this is a new breeding population. We will keep you posted.
