Important update. Yesterday we lodged our formal objection to the Clashindarroch 2 windfarm, proposed by Vattenfall - a company owned wholly by the Swedish government. This is the culmination of extensive work by both our legal and ecological teams who have identified a whole range of fundamental flaws and issues with the application.
In particular, the Environmental Impact Assessment carried out by Vattenfall fails in any meaningful way to provide any reassurances that this development would be nothing other than catastrophic to the resident wildcat population. Their EIA also fails to adequately address the option of alternative sites. There are so may bare hills in Scotland that could be used that wouldn't facilitate the extinction of the Scottish wildcat in the wild.

We are very confident that this windfarm development will not go ahead as to do so would breach a number of national and international pieces of legislation.
