Hi everyone, we're ever nearer to half a million signatures for the Scottish wildcat and still no word from Scottish Government, however, Wildcat Haven are now advancing legal proceedings to stop the development at Clashindarroch Forest and protect the wildcats, which is great news and I'll keep you all updated, thanks so much for the support and legal donations.

If you'd like to support the legal fund you can still donate at;

In other news, BBC's popular Winterwatch program is covering the Scottish wildcat tonight from 9pm, unfortunately it appears they will be promoting the work of Scottish Wildcat Action, which has repeatedly defended its partner Forestry Commission Scotland (the managers of Clashindarroch) claiming clear felling forest is good for wildcats.

If you get a chance today please drop Winterwatch a note on Twitter, Facebook or email asking them why they are promoting the work of a group which supports and enables the clear-felling of Clashindarroch Forest, home to an estimated 13 wildcats, which has a 480,000 signature petition and legal case pending as a result.

I expect we'll hear the usual answers, but if we can encourage the BBC just to ask the questions then millions of people will hear about the problems for wildcats in Clashindarroch and we could see even more support for actions to protect them.

The social networks for the program are the "Springwatch" ones, please use the hashtag #winterwatch and if you have space #ScottishWildcat is worth using too!

The program is on at 9pm GMT; thanks so much for your help once again, we'll keep finding ways to get this story out!
