Please come and join us for a cross party event discussing the future of residential outdoor education centres.   15 March 6:30pm-7:30pm.

This is an important part of the ongoing work to raise the profile of the importance of the outdoor and residential experiences for young people, and they are nover more needed than now!

Residential outdoor education helps children and young people thrive in their school years and prepare for adult life. It equips young people with the social and emotional competencies to succeed in life and to make a positive contribution to society. The event will celebrate the impact of immersive residential outdoor experiences, and set out a vision for the future where every young person in Scotland has access to the benefits. Join us to be part of the public debate on how we turn this vision into reality.

The Vision for Young People, and for the future residential outdoor education has cross party support and at the event we will be joined by an MSP from each political party at the Scottish Parliament. We will also be joined by Mark Beaumont and Mollie Hughes who will talk about why they personally support the ambitions set out in the Vision. We will hear from Morven Bayton an MSYP for Scouts Scotland on how residential experiences have benefitted her as a young person.

Come along and ask the politicians how they can make this vision a reality for every young person in Scotland.
