One of the world's worst pandemics has reached Australia, our new reality; nobody is safe from the deadly COVID-19 virus, especially those within the overcrowded prison system.

Our prisons are overcrowded which makes social distancing impossible. Visitation has been ceased indefinitely which is causing unnecessary stress in and out of the prison itself. (This will not stop COVID-19 entering the prisons.)

Let’s help "flatten the curve" by stopping unnecessary infections and potential deaths in our prison system.

Please sign this petition to allow both men and women who are vulnerable/at risk or who have 12 months or less remaining on their sentence to be released on either home detention or parole and to be with their families during this time, to prevent unnecessary deaths/illness due to COVID-19.
