Fire and Flood Resilience Blue-print must look at FireWatch
The Morrison government still hasn't implemented any of the top 10 recommendations of the "Bushfire Royal Commission" let alone endorsed ELCA's plan. But meanwhile it's good news that many businesses and individuals and community grass-roots groups are well into re-creating our economy into a renewable-energy led one.

Did you know that Andrew Forrest ("Twiggy") has pledged $50 million to spent on a "national blueprint" for fire and disaster resilience to develop new approaches to mitigate the threat of bushfires, with a focus on climate change. See: Andrew Forrest pledges $70 million
But if you download his Blueprint, for Fire Shield, at the bottom of the page below, you will find that FireWatch Australia is not included as a partner !!

The FireWatch system is the pre-eminent system for detecting fires within 6 minutes, which is the early-detection that Forrest is calling for, yet the Minderoo Foundation seems to think it is "too late" for FireWatch Australia to team up with them. This is absurd, unless the reason is that other vested interests want the big slice of the pie.
PLEASE write to the Media, the Prime Minister, the Attorney-General, your local Federal MPs, and to the Minderoo Foundation, and to Optus, a major partner of Fire Shield, who should be getting in contact with FireWatch Australia NOW, to request immediate setting up of FireWatch's affordable tower-based system.
