Friends, thanks to you we are putting up massive billboards with this message for Scott Morrison: “Prime Minister, you can bring these girls home to Biloela”.
So far, we’ve put up billboards in inner Brisbane, southern Sydney and on North Sydney’s iconic Bayer Building. With your help, we can extend these so even more people see them and add two new billboards on the Gold Coast.
Five-year-old Kopi and three-year-old Tharni were born here in Australia. In the three years since they were detained, four different Immigration Ministers have held the power to bring them home to Biloela.
With one phone call from Mr Morrison, new Immigration Minister Alex Hawke could bring this family home to Biloela in a heartbeat.
Please chip in now to help us give Prime Minister Morrison a sign that can’t be ignored.
On 5 March, we gathered for vigils right across Australia, from Biloela to Christmas Island. It was three years to the day since the guards took Priya, Nades and their QLD-girls from their Biloela home.
But unless our politicians step in, Kopika will be in detention when she turns six this May. In June, Tharni will turn four.
This will be the fourth time these little Queenslanders have spent their birthdays in detention - and it’s about to happen on Mr Morrison’s watch.
For everything you do for our Biloela family - thank you.
With hope,
Angela
