Friends, last night the ABC’s 7.30 program shared this beautiful story about our Biloela family.

A single stroke from a politician's pen could bring Priya, Nades and their QLD-born girls, Kopika and Tharnicaa, home to Biloela in time for Christmas.

But if our local MPs keep sitting on their hands, on Christmas morning, five year old Kopika will wake up to her 1026th day in detention. It will also be the 2,054th day since she was born.

Unless our politicians step in and speak up, on Christmas Day Kopika will pass a milestone no child should endure. She will have spent more than half of her short life in detention.

I know. It’s heartbreaking.

Kopika’s loving Mum and Dad have only one Christmas wish - to bring their QLD-born girls home to the peace and safety of Biloela, where they belong.
