It’s a busy time for so many of us right now, so I’ll keep this update short.
Christmas Day will mark 660 days since Priya, Nades and their QLD-born girls, Kopika and Tharunicaa, were taken from the Biloela home. They will spend the day 5,000km from Biloela, on Christmas Island. They are the only people detained there.
The Federal Court will hold a hearing on the 21st and 25th February to consider whether our government must give two-year-old Tharunicaa the opportunity to seek protection in the country she was born in: Australia.
But whatever happens in court, the fate of this beautiful family rests in the hands of government officials and politicians. In the New Year, I'll need your help to show that we won't rest until this family is safely home in Biloela.
With love and hope,
Angela
