It’s official. Mr Morrison has won all of the seats he needs to form government.
Priya, Nades and their Australian-born girls are now entirely at the mercy of Mr Morrison and his Immigration Minister, David Coleman.
On election night, Mr Morrison said: “I’ve always believed in miracles.” But he’s not the only one.
When doctors told Priya that her unborn baby Kopika could be born with serious complications, she went to the Catholic Church across the road from her Biloela home. “I prayed to God, to Jesus, help my baby please,” Priya says.
Thankfully, Kopika was born healthy in Biloela Hospital four years ago.
Now, as she wakes every day to the fear that the security escorts come to force her little family from Australia to danger, Priya is praying for another miracle.
Mr Morrison said: “If you have a go, you get a go.” He asked us: “How good is Australia?”
Today, I desperately need everyone who cares for the fate of this beautiful family to answer that question for ourselves.
