Petition updateBring Priya and her beautiful family back home to Biloela, QueenslandDutton needs to decide who's offered refuge based on the dangers they face, not their skin colour!

This is huge. On Tuesday, Border Force flew Priya, Nades and the kids to Perth and put them on a plane to Sri Lanka, a country that their two beautiful, Australian-born babies have never been to. A country where people like Priya and Nades face terrible danger and abuse, simply for being part of the Tamil minority. Just before take-off, last minute legal action saw Priya and her family taken off the plane with just minutes to spare. I have no doubt that without your support, Priya and her family would now be back in Sir Lanka facing extreme danger. Priya and Nades are not yet safe. The whole family is still locked up in detention. Your actions have bought us some time, but the our government still plans to force them back to danger. We need to make Peter Dutton understand that anyone facing such danger - no matter what their skin colour - deserves protection. Last night, Priya and Nades’ friends and neighbours gathered in the Biloela Lion’s Park. I told them how people from all around Australia have contacted me with similar stories, asking me how our town has managed to attract so much love and support for Priya and Nades. I told them that we have a great town, with great people. I told them that this is the start of something much bigger and asked them to keep using their voices until we bring Priya, Nades and the kids home to Biloela. But we can’t do it alone. That’s why I’m asking you to do two things: 1. Please, please call the office of Peter Dutton, the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection on 02 6277 7860 and politely demand that Mr Dutton return this beautiful family to Biloela, where they are welcome and wanted. 2. This Friday night, please attend or organise a peaceful vigil for Priya, Nades and the kids in your town or city and post the photos on social media. There are already events organised in Melbourne (http://bit.ly/melvig1) and Sydney (http://bit.ly/sydvig2). Thank you so much for all of your support. We can do this! Angela Biloela, QLD
