Thank you for signing my petition calling for a Royal Commission into the Aged Care Sector. I thought I would share with you a segment about some of the things going on in the sector that aired on Lateline 5 years ago. Nothing has really changed since then. In fact I would argue the situation has deteriorated due in large part to a shortage of staff and a failure of successive Governments to mandate minimum staffing levels. Even the free market Americans have the common sense to do that in this critical sector. Please share this message with your family and friends and encourage them to sign the petition. Only by applying maximum public pressure on our politicians will we get any meaningful action to improve the lives of our elderly and vulnerable aged care residents.
