Hello, for those of you who don’t know, my name is Hudson Floyd-Evans, I am a senior lacrosse player at Irmo high school and am committed to play at Mars Hill University. This year Irmo didn’t have enough interest to field a team, which is sad it its own right. Our school put in an appeal to allow me and my fellow teammates to play for another school. The coaches, and AD approved of it, but the 5A commissioner DENIED the appeal. I have put my blood sweat and tears into this team for years and it is extremely unfair for me not to be able to finish it out due to circumstances out of my control. I’ve always been proud to be a yellow jacket, proud to be a lacrosse player from Columbia, but not having that opportunity anymore is heartbreaking. Not being able to play lacrosse this season also puts me at a disadvantage in college, lowering my chances to be able to properly represent South Carolina at the next level. PLEASE share this and get my story out, tag the SCHSL, anything that could possibly flip the decision and allow me to play lacrosse this season
