School Wi‑Fi (EMF / EMR) Is Governed by Guidelines That Exclude Children.
The Issue
Our schools are now hot-spots, filled with wireless radiation, that was never tested for children’s developing brains, bodies, or fertility.
Health Canada still follows the ICNIRP’s 2002 limits - written for healthy adult males and based only on short-term heat, not long‑term biological effects.
Teachers witness rising attention and concentration problems, while research continues to link wireless chronic exposure to neurological stress and reproductive harm.
We’re asking all school boards and government regulators to suspend Wi‑Fi expansion, adopt wired connections where possible, and commission an independent safety review that includes children, the elderly, and those who are sensitive.
Add your name so governments and school boards hear one clear message: protect learning environments, not corporate convenience. The Education Act puts children's well being and achievement first, not last.
'Decision-makers’ have not fulfilled their obligation to determine safe wireless radiation (EMR / EMF) exposure levels for children, and thus should suspend the use and installation of Wi‑Fi and other wireless devices until evaluations confirm these technologies pose no harm and learning difficulties to vulnerable groups or individuals.
ICNIRP’s own guidelines explicitly advise that additional safety research is required for biological effects on vulnerable groups, including children, those sensitive, and elderly – groups that ICNIRP has admitted that it has not studied.
ICNIRP states, “Because adverse consequences of NIR (non-ionizing radiation) exposure can vary from trivial to life threatening, a balanced judgment is required before deciding on exposure guidance.”
There appears to be non-compliance of ICNIRP guidelines, which leads to negligence for using ICNIRP exposure limits and ignoring the reduction factor requirement to protect children and pregnant educators.
Therefore, we ask the governments and school boards to see their crucial role in ensuring a safe environment in schools, and request the Board to immediately adopt the precautionary principle – ceasing classroom wireless exposure pending transparent safety review of vulnerable populations – and transition to wired or fibre‑optic connections, which provide safe and stable learning environments for every student.
As an electrical engineer, for over 20 years, I’ve spent my career reviewing and trusting sound science. But “sound science” begins with adequate data – and ICNIRP wireless safety guidelines admit it does not have that.

Reviewing the ICNIRP Statement link below (searching for the words 'children' and 'life threatening') will reveal regulators and school boards crucial role to reduce the risks to children. https://www.icnirp.org/cms/upload/publications/ICNIRPphilosophy.pdf

See our Updates video below for how the national standards are set. “Several steps in these procedures require scientific judgment on reviewing the scientific literature and determining appropriate reduction factors.” — ICNIRP (2002)
This petition is not just an explanation and signature request, it is a mirror within. It asks us to notice who we’ve become, and who we still wish to be – the ones who do not turn away. May this simple act of adding our names remind us that compassion is found in our presence. Thank you.
