A good package was created by another organized group of parents (Concerned Parents and Educators of Fairfax County, http://concernedparentsandeducators.org). I highly recommend downloading their document, and following their guidance. concernedparentsandeducators.org/pip/ It is very consistent with what I and others have been suggesting also. 1) Don't sign the SR&R, but attach and sign the Liberty Counsel letter instead. Turn this in to your school. They will not decline lockers or schedules if you do this. 2) Know what FLE is teaching, and opt out of FLE for subject matter that is offensive, taught too early, or the entire year. This year is all new, with gender identity, sexual orientation, anal and oral sex teaching in middle school. Graphic child sex trafficking video in 6th grade, STDs and needle sharing in 5th grade. 3) Opt out of overly intrusive and explicit Youth (Sex) Survey. As always, keep writing the school board to voice your opposition to 1450, and the regulation which violates student rights. Doing the above is just one more voice against the agenda which violates student modesty rights and Title IX fair girls athletics by sex (not gender identity which violates the initial intent of Title IX). http://www.concernedparentsandeducators.org/pip/PIP-8-25-16%20FINALv1.2.pdf
