Subject: Licensed Independent Practitioners' Rehabilitative Services Training

On Aug. 22, 2024, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) will conduct a training on the evaluation process for assessing the quality and compliance of licensed independent practitioners' (LIPs) rehabilitative services offered to South Carolina Healthy Connections Medicaid members.  

SCDHHS’ Bureau of Quality will host a two-hour live provider training webinar Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. This training is intended for providers who participated in the recent LIP quality assurance and compliance review, but all LIPs are encouraged to join. The training will cover common trends that led to deficiencies discovered in the quality assurance and compliance review and provide examples of best practices in submitting supporting documentation.
