Hello everyone, it has been an eventful last few months. Last week (02/24/2023), I spoke at the 59th South Carolina Counseling Association (SCCA) conference. My presentation was "How to Deal with a Routine Medicaid Audit." The presentation went well, and my peers (other mental health professionals) welcomed me and this topic. I would not have been able to do that event without your help. This has been a collective effort from day one. You all motivated me to do something, which I did. Thank you!

A few things came from that presentation. Firstly, I will be teaming up with SCCA's Advocacy Division, and SCCA will be drafting something for the lawmakers to look at in hopes of changing the very things you all helped me point out in the petition. I am excited about this next chapter because I know what I'm capable of and what you all are willing to do to support this cause. We are getting closer to a resolution. It will take some time, but I know I can do all things with the help of my faith.

Please continue to keep me, the petition, SCCA, SC Medicaid, the lawmakers, my peers, and the clients/patients in prayer as we all continue on the next chapter of this fight with SCDHHS aka SC Medicaid. Amen!
