Hello Everyone,
I finally got word from my contact at Governor Henry McMaster's office. He said "per SCDHHS" I can speak to ________.
This was my immediate response to his email on Monday (10/03/2022):
She has NOT made herself available in the past. Did something change?
Is there anything the governor's office can do?
I do appreciate you getting Ms. _______ to say she would talk to me, but she has been present for all my Fair Hearings in Columbia with the different hearing officers; the multiple phone conferences I had for specific cases I appealed during the Prepayment Claim Review (thanks to Senator Lindsey Graham and Senator Tim Scott's offices), and she initially sent me the letter that placed me on Prepayment Claim Review back in 2018.
I am familiar with her, and I don't know what she can or will do for me now! Additionally, I am no longer a SC Medicaid provider because I walked away. I got my company off Prepayment Claim Review back in December 2020 with the help of Senator Tim Scott's office. I don't know if she can help me at this point.
SCDHHS did not help me! I had to get help from my senators to hold SCDHHS accountable. This is the real problem with SCDHHS aka SC Medicaid.
I really need help bringing these systematic issues to the state-level lawmakers' attention. There is a real problem here, and it's 502 plus licensed mental health professionals who are having an issue right now in South Carolina.
According to South Carolina Counseling Association (SCCA), SCDHHS stopped talking to them. Who is responsible for SCDHHS' actions if SCDHHS refuses to speak to the medical providers that are contracted with SC Medicaid?
Can you please answer these questions for me? Thank you again for your help on the matter. The end of the email.
We shall see what happens now! Please continue to pray for me, our petition, our local and state government, and a resolution to all of this. I know someone can help us, but are they willing to do it. I believe they can. I have faith!
