Hello everyone! Guess who's office called back yesterday, and I was able to speak with them? You got it. I finally spoke to the support staff in SC Representative Michael Rivers Sr.'s office. The support staff and I spoke for 17 minutes, and it was an action-packed talk. I explained to the support staff that I have been trying to get in touch with SC Rep. Michael Rivers Sr for a year. I gave her the dates. I initially reached out to him on 08/09/2021 via the SC Legislative website, which is www.scstatehouse.gov I looked on Social Media and found what I thought was his official Social Media page and sent a post/message on 07/23/2022. I tried again on 07/24/2022 on the www.scstatehouse.gov website. I called his SC State House office on 08/16/2022 and the other dates I mentioned. I followed up on the phone call on 08/16/2022 with a text message. I mailed the petition to the address listed on www.scstatehouse.gov the week of 08/16/2022. 

Yes, the support staff called back on 08/17/2022 and left me a message. The key point is that I needed to speak to someone. The call yesterday (08/30/2022) was pleasant, and the support staff explained she is not in the office every day and she passed my messages along to my elected official. She asked what do I want to tell him? I told her we (you and me) have a petition on Change.org and we (you and me) have gathered 545 signatures. Thank you, everyone! I want my elected official to read the petition and help me with this state agency, which is SCDHHS aka SC Medicaid. The support staff asked me to mail this information to her so she could overnight it to him, but I refused. I stressed the issue that he or the support staff could go online and look at the petition on this platform. I want my elected official to bear witness to what we (you and me) have done, but we still need his help. I forgot to tell the support staff, I had already mailed all of this information to my elected official via the address listed on www.scstatehouse.gov website. 

Additionally, because I could talk to the support staff, I made another connection that I could reach out to someone here in Beaufort County and see if that individual could help me get in touch with my elected official. Please pray that this highly connected individual in our community, mental health, and the helping field can make this happen. I am humbly calling on her to help. I am not calling her out, but I am calling on her.

Please pray for me, my business, those supporting me, and the movement. I know some are not in support of what we are doing and will start to say and do things. Please if you have any questions about me, the business, and those that choose to support the movement bring them to our attention. Do not gossip or spread false narratives!
