Say YES to a dog park in Pelican Waters

The issue

Did you know that Pelican Waters have over 30 local parks within the community? You only have to see the dogs being walked to agree that the community love their dogs.  Surprisingly, there isn't a designated off leash and fenced dog area for the pooches and their families to feel safe and play.

By the end of 2031, the coast is estimated to have 90,000 dogs within the community and Pelican Waters will be a big part of those numbers.

The closest off leash dog park is opposite the Power Boat Club in Golden Beach but unfortunately this park isn't fenced which causes concern for owners and dogs themselves. Little Mountain, Aroona and Birtinya have enclosed off leash parks but they can be in excess of a 20 min drive for some of our residents. As Pelican Waters hosts a mature, older age demographic having a local and safe place for their dogs to socialise and play would be hugely beneficial.

Let's work together and give the Council our feedback that we support having a dog park in Pelican Waters. If you could please kindly sign and share your support than we might be able to make this happen :-)
