Petition updateSay No to worse passenger rights🚨 Time to be louder than ever: The EU officially voted to roll back passenger rights.

On the 5th June the Council of the EU approved the amendment that will destroy so many passengers’ rights. Here’s what they voted for:

🚨 Longer delays

Airlines will only have to pay compensation for delays of 4 or even 6 hours, rather than the current threshold of 3. 60% fewer delayed passengers will be protected because of this change alone.

🚨 Less compensation

Passengers will get a maximum of €500, or only €300 for flights under 3,500km and in the EU. It makes no sense when costs are rising, and compensation hasn’t been adjusted for inflation in over 20 years!

🚨 More confusion

Passenger rights are complex already. But these changes mean even more confusing clauses and contradictions. They also mean our rights will be worse than our neighbours in the UK and Turkey.

Be louder than ever!
There’s one last chance to stop this change, when the amendment reaches the EU parliament.
