Our community needs your support!

Our local primary school lies in the middle of the thriving village. With the pub, dairy business, church, and retirement home close by, it already has heavy traffic and the area has now become a real bottleneck. With the current number of pupils, the number of cars in circulation during rush hour times can become staggering, and quite dangerous for our children. 

Our concern now is more alarming than ever. There is a proposed expansion plan to double the size of our school. One can only imagine the outrageous increase in vehicular traffic this would bring, worsening the situation to untenable levels. The modest size of our village cannot support this proposed growth and it is our children's safety that must be a priority. 

One of the main draws for parents choosing this village school for our children is the strong community feeling they have when attending lessons, church services, school assemblies, fund raising evenings etc. Can this feeing be replicated if the school was to double in size? I think not.

It is our collective responsibility to ensure the safety of our children and to preserve the rich tapestry of our village school for generations to come.

It's time we take a stand and voice our concerns for the proposed thoughtless expansion. Please support us in resisting this irreversible change that threatens the safety and tranquility of our village.
