Greetings Supporters!

A small group of concerned citizens attended the MoK Council meeting in Coldbrook on 07 March, 2023 as an Agenda item at the meeting included a copy of this petition in the "Council Correspondence" portion of the meeting.  Included on pp. 99-100 of the Councillors packet was a copy of this petition along with 21 names in a spreadsheet.

Seeking clarlity of what this meant, concerned citizens attended the Council Meeting to ask questions and to inform Council just how many people had signed the petition at that time.

As of 04 March, 2023 the latest installment of your e-signatures was submitted to the MoK planning office. The total at that time was 166 + the 21 names listed (total 187 at that time), which was shared with Council at the meeting.

*Today we're nearing the 250 mark - we'll get to 500 if we share, share, share!*

Clarity about the numbers issue was provided by Mayor Muttart: the 21 names listed in Council's packet were those of petitions mailed by post in hard copy to Council at the time the Agenda was posted online. It is the County Clerk's duty to inform Council of any correspondences addressed to them. Additionally (and importantly), Council has not yet even seen this proposal - but they now know there is STRONG community opposition.

The Concerned Citizens wanted to ensure that Council knew your voices were heard, that there were many more than 21 people who had signed this petition and that regular e-signature updates will be forwarded to the MoK Planning Department as long as this file is active.

Thanks again for your support! We value your e-signatures, they matter to us, and we're working hard to make your voices heard on this important issue in Scots Bay, Kings Co., NS in Canada.
