We did it!!
The Travelers Rest Planning & Development Committee voted 4–1 to deny the annexation for the proposed resort on Paris Mountain.

Because of you - your voices, your presence, your belief in this place - that project is not moving forward.

But we’re not done.

Tomorrow - Tuesday, May 20 at 6:00 PM, the Greenville County Council will hold its final reading on the proposed ESD-PM text amendment that closes the "loophole". The Planning & Development Committee will also be presenting a report requesting additional amendments to the zoning ordinance. These are critical updates that help limit access from Altamont Road and better protect environmentally sensitive land on and around the mountain.

Why this matters:
While we stopped the hotel, the threat of destructive development remains. The Divine Group is now exploring high-density multifamily housing for the same property.

It may look different, but the risks are the same...to our environment, road safety, water quality, and the character of this beloved mountain.

We are still in this fight, and we’re not backing down.
Our legal team is hard at work.
Our volunteers are still giving their nights and weekends.
