Surveyors were busy this morning at the Elizabeth Avenue-King Street corner.

They didn't want to talk to us.

It seems though that they agree with me - the shortest and quickest way to cross Elizabeth Avenue is to run across when there's a break in the traffic.  I'm not sure they were setting a very good example. The rest of us did the right thing, pushed the pedestrian button and crossed quite safely.

I have serious doubts that students and other pedestrians are going to go the extra distance and grade in using a pedestrian overpass when we already have a simple and short crossing with lights (which grantedly could be upgraded to comply with current safety standards).
