This year has been challenging for all of us. Besides dealing with Coronavirus and its variants, we had to endure changes to our entire lifestyle, both socially and professionally. I am not sure about you all, but it has not been easy dealing with confinement and overt precautions. We take freedom, social gatherings, family, and life in general, for granted. The reality is that we don't want to wait for normalcy again and we are fed up. But why are we not in a better place today? Why there is information overload but not about what truly matters.

Today, both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated cause a threat for spreading the virus. While I support taking all precautions and getting vaccinated, I am still puzzled by the amount of misinformation and the avoidance of the most important factor is the health and safety of the public. All I hear is "blah blah blah" and nothing intellectual about the root causes of the virus, the food chain issues, and conscious practices for all. Why isn't anyone talking about true research, the intermediate hosts that could cause COVID infections and other diseases.

Pork should be the leading target to be prohibited from human consumption. On a moral level due to cruelty, but specifically on a health level due to infection and diseases. Adding to the problem is that even people that work at the meat processing plants are endangering the public. Nearly 60,000 COVID cases have been reported at these plants. Would you believe it? Here is an article that gives perspective on the spread of the virus amongst employees. Another scientific report provides some insights from the Mayo Clinic on the risks of infectious disease from pigs, other health issues from eating meat, and its allergic reaction in humans.

OSHA cited these plants, but that is not enough. In my opinion, pigs should be left in the in a protected environment free to clean the filth we leave behind and not be treated with slaughterhouse cruelty. And don’t we care about the environment and climate change? Or is that just talk?

With 2022 around the corner, I urge you to give a pledge to make a simple change in your life. Spread the word to stop eating poison and let’s demand real solutions from our lawmakers. We need to reach our 10,000 signatures and we must get that to gain attention for this subject. Together, we can end animal cruelty, help the environment, and promote healthy living. It is the conscientious thing to do. Lend your voice and let’s make a difference.

Happy Holidays and wishing you all happy and enjoyable New Year Celebration.

Stay Safe!
