According to the Telegraph (link attached) pig viruses are spread when pigs eat infected meat or meat products, or come into contact with infected pigs, their bodily fluid, or anything contaminated with the virus -including people, clothing and vehicles. 

There is currently no vaccine for the disease, which is notoriously difficult to contain. But while it can devastate pig herds, it can not be caught by humans. 

There are ongoing outbreaks in Europe, Africa and Asia.
