Dear friend and supporter
ASMAA launched the "Food for Thought" campaign in April 2020 in the Algarve and with your help we managed to deliver food, toiletries and some cleaning materials to 215 individuals and 29 kids during April - to last for an average of 14 days. Meaning at least 6000 meals were provided for during this period. This was half of our target for April.
The desperation experienced by many is really getting quite serious. Since the beginning of May, more and more desperate people are reaching out to us. In the last two weeks, our Charity Shop in Lagos was assaulted twice, and over 1000€ worth of food, cleaning materials and toiletries stolen.
Help us to be in a position to assist these in need so that they don’t have to resort to stealing.
HELP US MEET 100% OF OUR TARGET IN MAY
10€ will HELP us provide FOOD for 14 days for one person. You can also donate FOOD, toiletries and household cleaning materials directly to us in Lagos (if you are in the Western Algarve area).
You can donate money via Paypal - using info@asmaa-algarve.org or go to our website for a direct link - http://asmaa-algarve.org/en/donate
You can also donate funds directly to our bank account: SANTANDER TOTTA (LAGOS ALGARVE) - ASMAA Algarve Surf and Marine Activities Association
IBAN: PT50 0018 0008 02686698020 51
PLEASE USE THE REF: FOOD FOR THOUGH
NOTE: Monetary donations are used to purchase additional supplies that are required to top up what we receive from our supportive community. Your contribution no matter how small will make a huge impact in the lives of the individuals and families that are reaching out to us - many with small children. So give generously.
A last word, if you can't donate, we ask that you please share this fundraiser on your Facebook wall, with your family, friends and in groups on Facebook.
On behalf of everyone
Thank you
Laurinda Seabra - ASMAA CEO
