Dear Friends & Supporters of ASMAA

A massive THANK YOU to all that donated so far for us to be able to purchase the Delivery/Collection van - So far we have raised 3, 085.00€.

This van will greatly assist ASMAA in providing support not only to victims of fires in Monchique but also will continue to assist us in providing assistance to others in need across the Western & Central Algarve (From Odeceixe to Faro) in the future.

We now have reserved this vehicle by putting a down deposit on it of 2,000€ (but have only until next week Wednesday 19 September to pay the full outstanding amount)

The vehicle is in the Coimbra region. Has been inspected by friends (that knows a thing or two about cars and gave it a clean bill of health - although there's some minor scratches in the body, its nothing serious).

From the 19 to the 21 we expect that all the necessary paperwork will be in place to do transfer on Monday 24. We planning on traveling up north to collect it on the 23 September traveling by bus, and returning with the van on 25 September back to the Algarve. But the purchase of the van alone, are not all the costs that we will incur.

Here's the full cost breakdown:

PURCHASE PRICE: 3,750€
INSURANCE: 300€
TRANSFER FEE: 65€
TOLL FEES (bringing vehicle to Lagos) 70€
FUEL: 120€
TRAVELING from Lagos by bus 40€

TOTAL COST: 4,345€

SHORTFALL TO COVER ALL COSTS: 1,260€

We now appeal to you to help us by donating 20€, 50€, 100€ or whatever amount you can spare from your budget SO THAT WE CAN FINALIZE THE PURCHASE and bring the van to the Algarve.
