Dear Friends / Caros amigos (Amanha em PT) As the summer season gets into full swing we see it, as an opportunity to reach more people so as to raise awareness about the biggest threat the Algarve has had to face in decades. The first deep-sea oil exploration well drilling time is getting near. So far, we’ve succeed in getting an extension, forced the matter to be debated in the Portuguese parliament, we got the local mayors to act and bring a court injunction to stop the ENI/Galp drilling that was scheduled for July, but all of that is not enough. We have to do more! We need to continue to mobilize and inform all the thousands that are currently here or on the way to our shores in August for their holidays. We want to do that during 20 days in 20 towns. But to do that we have to raise funds to cover the costs of this campaign.
