Nao podemos esquecer os furos planeados para ja este verao pela Repsol/Partex e pela Galp/ENI no mar - em frente a Faro e em frente a praia do Amado. The fight against the oil and gas exploration is entering a new phase. One that will require all of us to increase our efforts. Repsol/Partex and Galp/ENI will be drilling their first wells this summer, one in front of Faro and one in front of praia do Amado na Costa Vicentina. This means that our petition needs to get into every house and every business in the Algarve. Isto quer dizer que agora temos que fazer o esforco de que a nossa peticao chegue a todas as casas e a todos os estabelicimentos comerciais no Algarve. It has been a real challenge to get petition forms using our network of volunteers into local homes. We just do not have enough feet to do it. So we had to look for an alternative solution. We were left with two options, taking one or more double page spreads in major newspapers or printing the petition forms and info flyers and have it distributed using the postal service to homes in the Algarve. After an evaluation of costs, it was decided that the postal service is the route to follow. The distribution campaign will take place in May.
