SAY NO TO LOW BRIDGES OVER THE CORAL GABLES WATERWAY PETITION UPDATE

Thank you to all of our new supporters that have signed the petition. We are now up to 448 supporters and growing. This week we sent a petition flyer to waterway homeowners in Cocoplum, Gables Estates, Old Cutler Bay, Snapper Creek and Gables by the Sea asking for their support as well. My expectation is that our support will keep growing. The more supporters we have, the more impact our united voice will have on City leaders, especially during the upcoming election cycle in April. So, make sure you're voices are being heard by emailing our City leaders directly and sharing our petition with your neighbors, family and friends.

Today Miami-Dade announced a webinar to review potential design changes to the bridge that hopefully incorporate our asks. I say hopefully, as we have not seen any designs , except the original low bridge design. We have communicated with City of Coral Gables, Miami-Dade and Coast Guard leaders that we will not accept another low bridge and that all new bridges over the waterway should meet a minimum 14 ft clearance at mean high tide. The clearance guidance is the height of most original George Merrick waterway bridges south of US1.
