Mise à jour sur la pétitionSay NO to Deep-Sea Mining🚨 Deep-Sea Mining Just Got Even More Dangerous 🚨

As we predicted in our last update, The Metals Company (the company most aggressively pressing to open the High Seas to deep-sea mining) is now pushing the Trump administration to bypass international law and fast-track deep-sea mining in the Pacific Ocean—without waiting for global regulations.

This reckless move threatens to:
❌ Destroy fragile deep-sea ecosystems before we even understand them.
❌ Bypass international agreements, setting a dangerous precedent.
❌ Fuel a race to the bottom, where mining corporations exploit the ocean for profit.

The deep sea is not a commodity. It’s a critical carbon sink, a home to countless undiscovered species, and a key part of our planet’s life support system.

Now more than ever, we need a moratorium on deep-sea mining. The world cannot afford to open this new front of ocean destruction.

🌊 At The Ocean and Us, we say NO to deep-sea mining. We must protect the ocean—not sacrifice it for short-term gain by a greedy few.
